Steph is now accepting new students beginning January 2010!

Lessons are weekly half-hour lessons and are typically taught after school anytime from 2 - 5:30 PM (other times can work too, I am flexible!) I always begin with a new student with a trial lesson free of charge. This enables me to assess what books the student would do best with and allows you to know if I am a good fit with you and your family.

I prefer to teach from the Alfred Method Piano Series but can and do teach from other books. Students are responsible for supplying their own books. Because I am a piano teacher, I receive a discount at the music store and am happy to pick up your books for you and put it on your monthly invoice. I will supply a practice notepad with stickers.

There will be two annual recitals, one around Christmas-time and one around the end of school (in May).

I began taking piano lessons at a young age and immediately fell in love with the instrument and art of playing the piano. Although I loved to play and evoke emotions with the piano, I didn't always love to practice the songs that my teacher always wanted me to. Thus, I have taken my experiences from when I was young to heart and has incorporated them into a pain-free way of learning how to play the piano. I love to incorporate games, rewards, and other fun techniques into all of my piano lessons.

I believes in technic and theory and incorporate them into my lessons but I also want to help others to learn to feel the music and to learn to put that feeling into the music that they perform. My specialty is sight reading and accompaniment and I would love to help others learn and refine those skills.

My husband, Skyler, and I have been married for 4 years and I am currently a stay-at-home mom to our little toddler and love every minute of it! I am about to graduate from Weber State with a Bachelors Degree in Family Studies with an emphasis in Education. I love (no surprises here) playing the piano, singing, hanging out and playing games with her family and friends, sewing, blogging, etc.

Reception pricing begins at $150

For a ceremony, pricing begins at $75

To bundle a ceremony and reception, pricing begins at $200

Pricing for the above includes:

a large selection of songs including new age, romantic, compilations, etc.

If you have songs that you would like to be performed that are not currently on the list (to get a copy, see contact info on the right), pricing begins at $25 for up to 3 additional songs with $5 for each additional song after that. This fee covers the cost of the music and practice time.

**I will arrive a half hour early to set up and to begin playing before guests arrive and will stay until the guests have left or until otherwise noted**
